A sneak peak of my second novel. A dystopian, sci-fi novel called
‘In The Absence of Colour’.
A tale of oppression, rebellion, protest, power and love.

In The Absence of Colour

I remember going to bed happy that night. It was my birthday, I’d just turned twenty-one. I was full of food, exhausted from being out all day and just a little bit drunk. Maybe my memory has altered how I see that night, but I remember looking out my window and seeing the most beautiful orange and purple sky. It must have been the sunset, because my window faced west. That beautiful burning sky was the calming sight I fell asleep too. I didn’t see colour again for a long time.
